HELP! I think something is bent.....
Hi guys,
My wife had a slight off 2 weeks ago on a wet road.. She spun the car on a round about and hit a gutter with the right rear..
The car was towed and taken away for insurance repairs.. it sustained a cracked wheel ( lucky my AP1 16s where on it) and a bent lower control arm.
I got it back today and put my 17's back on, but noticed something whilst putting them on.
The gap from the tyre to the guard is different from the drivers side to the passengers.
What else could be bent??? the car drives fine and straight...
Maybe a strut, or upper control arm????
I have attched some pics to show you the difference

Two things to check:
1. With the repair shop to see if they put the car on a frame machine to check for frame damage. Probably they didn't but you'll need this info.
2. Get the alignment 'after' data to see where you're sitting vs the spec's you wanted.
If the frame is square (not bent) which is what #1 would confirm, and your alignment is good, then you probably have some panel misalignment which the repair shop should fix.
