HELP: Fender Removal
Hey guys!
I was hoping that I could get some quick help. My car got vandalized recently and the fender is needing a repaint. I was thinking about removing it myself to save the car from sitting at the repair center for a couple days and save a bit of cash for my pocket.
I looked through the helms and It appears that I would just need to remove the headlight, bumper, and fender trim. This is quite simply so I am not concerned. As for the fender is there any tips that you guys could give me? Anything that I should look for while removing it to avoid possible damage or is it just straight forward removing a couple bolts?
Thanks
Jad

It's pretty straight forward. I've done it more then a handful of times. You don't need to remove the headlight totally. There is 2 bolts in the inside door jamb, 3 underneath the car, the 4 or 5 in the engine compartment and the one underneath the headlight behind the bumper.

Oh yeah the most frustrating part is the plastic tabs in the fenderwell. You'll probably have to be real careful or you will break a couple, but they are cheap to replace from Honda.

Might want to talk to your body shop. The price may be much higher for a loose fender. It's way harder to buff out! I found this out the hard way many moons ago on a 1955 MG TF1500.
