Help to Diagnose a Potential Problem
This is a request from a fellow board member who can't post because he is out in germany driving the nurburgring.. he is trying to diagnose a problem he now has.. because he has got a 1000mile return trip to make and the honda dealers are now closed until monday..
I had a phone call from him explaining his problem...so it's not an exact science..
the car seems OK when cruising.. part throttle, even upto 70mph+
however when he accelerates with full throttle, he gets a strong "mechanical" vibration..
he has checked simple stuff.. wheels, balanced etc..
any advice comments on what it could be.. greatly appreciated and I will let him know and how to get back home..

On a flatbed?
Why take the risk of getting more damage to drive train / engine?
Good luck to your friend

It sounds like his CV joints are bad. A thousand miles home on bad CV joints is not a wise thing to do unless he has a bag of horseshoes and 4-leaf clovers. If he must drive it back, I strongly suggest to NOT accelerate any harder than necessary and drive a little slower. Vibration on acceleration is typically badly worn or pitted CVs.
