It sounds as if the "Shop" isn't much of one. They installed the blower, but don't know how to test the ESM? I could be jumping to conclusions. I suggest reading the install instructions yourself and go over all the details.
Your shop should be buying you a new oil return line as well.

Bypassing the ESM will allow the PCM to see boost, Which is the one thing you don't want it to see. The stock computer can't process a positive pressure voltage signal from the MAP sensor without freaking out.

I don't have a clue about by passing. If you guys can teach a dog new tricks, I'm willing to learn. =)
However, i did have a 360 spin out on a 3 lane interstate. The conditions were wet and i was driving at 55-60mph. I was in the middle lane and felt my car drifting. So I looked back to see how far ahead a i was and slowly tried to get into my right lane. Right when i almost succeeded, my car just whipped counter clockwise. Taking me on a spin that landed me on a grass median (that sloped up 2 feet) between the two freeways while facing on coming traffic.
I'm a newbie to this RWD, so the only thing that went thruogh my mind was, not to skid off the grass median and onto on coming traffic. Thank God it stopped.
