FMU = Fuel Management Unit (aka fuel regulator)

No, I haven't checked the ESM yet. I'll bring the car into the shop Monday. Perhaps someone can post me a "DIY - Locating the ESM and Wirings" with pics that I can follow. =)

I've checked my fuel pump. It's working correctly. So yall think it's the ESM? Let's how it's a loose wiring. =T

Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure the installation instructions are on the comptech website. You should be able to find the pics and description you need there.

Yes, I think it is the ESM. I had the same exact symptoms. My car was also running very rich and the exhaust gas smelled awfull. The ESM is wired to the car's ECU. The ECU is located behind the panel next the foot rest(next to the hood release handle). If you have an email address I can email you a couple of pictures I took during my SC installation.

My bet will be the EMS wire.... My car act up every now and then. It's the car going to safety mode; Due to boost.. You might wanta DYNO your car so it won't lean out.. Every car is different.

I just checked all my ESM wires. Every wire was tight. Nothing loose at all. I turned on my engine then shook the wires to see if my engine would jump. Nothing happen.

However, I did crawl underneath my car and found that the oil hose from the oil pan going up into the SC's snail. The hose was rubbing so badly against the bottom fram that it almost cut the hose apart. Luckily it only ripped the metal insullations part of the tube. So I tried to adjust the head of the bolt to relieve some stress on the oil hose. But didnt know how, so i temporary cut up a hose and place it as cusion. By any slim chance that this may be the cause of the problem?

For instance I'm driving on a bumpy freeway in gear 6. Every little bump i hit, my car car's kinda tremors as if it just lost "boost" from the SC. Then the car would resume back to normal and the boost kicks back in. Could it be that my oil hose was pinched up when i hit the bump causing my SC's snail not to function momentarily?

What are the possibility that it's the MAP SENSOR?

Here is are some pics of my car under the hood.

Thanks guys! I still need your help badly!!

If your oil line is blocked the first you will know is when the SC seizes. This is not the cause, but get it fixed.

You really need to fix the oil return hose 1st. Loss of engine oil from the return could happen at a very rapid rate without much warning. Most likely to cause serious engine and supercharger damage if you do not repair it. As far as you drivability problem, You really need to verify the ESM is doing it's job. If the cars computer sees boost, or a voltage reading above 2.9V, You will get all kinds of strange behavior from it. Just because the outside of a electrical connection looks good, doesn't mean it is good. If you can drive with a scan tool hooked up, Watch the map sensor reading in volts. If the Volts ever go over 2.9 you have a problem with the esm or you wiring. The Volt reading should not drop to 0 at any time either. Does the check engine light come on?

Pics not working BTW

Thanks Slow2k, but there's a problem. The shop that installed the SC never even bother to hook my car up to any machine. I brought it there twice and all they did was listen to my story. I'm tired of their . And just to look at it and say, "hey, it might be your map sensor." = a charge for 75.00 bucks. Like last time, "oh, it must be the FMU, cha ching = 322.00 + installation. Oh, and here's funny part, they have me test drive the car after they have installed the new FMU. And I come back explaining them what happen, they're like..."oh, must be blah and blah"

The only reason why I go back to them cause they are the only shop in New Olreans that knows how to install SC and Turbo. But I take every advice you guys give to me and throw it at them and they just ignore it.
