hey guys i was wondering is there anything wrong with using amsoil
0w-30 all year round?
Absolutely nothing wrong with running 0w-30 all year.

I'm getting ready to do a fluid change myself, I'm going with:

Whatever engine oil is cheap (Typically Valvoline Synpower 5w-30)
Honda MTF 2 for the tranny
Amsoil SG 75w-110 for the Diff
And I'll be using whatever clutch/brake fluid that is convenient to pick up, probably the Valvoline synthetic stuff

Engine oil>>>> Amsoil Dominator series 10w-30. Never seen any oil come anywhere close to the tried and true protection and performance. I have sent in for oil analysis at Amsoil for comparisons. I have also personally seen dyno results. brand new Royal Purple XPR 5w-30 in an 94 Supra made 403whp three pulls averaged. Drained and put that oil in a civic (ha ha!) Then added Amsoil 10w-30 Dominator and did three pulls with an 409whp average. 6whp gain!!! from just oil!!! So now i swear by it. And thats Synthetic vs Synthetic. Both premium brands. You choose.

XMSN fluid>>>> I have only used Honda brand or Amsoil Full Synthetic Syncromesh. I prefer Amsoil for smoother engagement after it warms up. (kinda notchy when cold). Another thing to do at this time would be to lube your shifter. this help with even better shifting feel. most people forget this. its cheap (like $2.99 cheap) if you do it yourself. you cant go wrong with either choice.

For the Diff>>>> i used to run Royal purple 75-90w. it was great. i never had any problems with it at all. but for even more protection i use Severe Gear 75W-110 Amsoil. I also change this fluid every third oil change or once a year. whatever comes first.

Good luck, its nice to see that people still work on their own cars. I hope this helps.

( Yes i am a Fanboy of Amsoil now ) based on facts of course.
