Default HELP:cold water falling on my feet and the passenger footwell soaked!!!

Ouch!

When I was taking a hard right hand turn on the weekend ,I got cold water splattered on my feet ,and on further investigation I noticed that the carpet in the passenger footwell was completely soaked.

Has this happened to anyone else, and If so what is the problem and how was it resolved?

It's quite possible that the AC evaporator/drain tube is clogged with debris. Debis like leaves and such can work its way in from the cowl vent by the lower windshield area. If the drain tube is clogged, the water (by-product of an AC system) has no where to go but out of the evap case (passenger side) and through the vent/ducts for the driver's side. If you have access to an air compressor and a blower, raise the car and you can see a black tube facing downward. For about a second or 2, blow into the tube...hopefully this will clear the passage. This is only cures it for a while. The sure fix is to remove the case and clean it out, and NEVER park underneath trees and such. Hope this is it, and hope it works for you.... BTW, be kinda quick with the blower, pull it out fast or you'll get a pretty good rinse down your armpit

There is a TSB out for this (not sure what the number is - it may be in the library).

If you take it to the dealer, they will fix it. They just seal up the heater box or something.

THANK YOU GUYS. This was happening to my girl's S2K the other day and for once, when it came to cars, I was clueless. I'll tell her to take it to a dealer right away (but not the one where she bought her car...idiot salesman tried to talk her into a Suzuka Blue because it had a "bigger engine and better gearing in the transmission."
