HELP! CAR IS PULLING
#11
I know its a little late but i figured the problem out. The tires were mismatched but one of the tires was almost 2 inches bigger than the other . yes both were 245/45/r17. the people at tire kingdom were shocked because they had never seen that before. o, it was two inches bigger even after it was completely bald. lesson learned.

1. You have 2 tires of different manufacturers on the rear and you think nothing of it.
2. You think that just because those tires are the same size that they are actually the same size.
3. You actually think that 2 tires of different makes pumped up to the same pressures will be the same.
4. You and the tire shop are surprised that they aren't the same diameters.
Both you and that tire shop are way beyond any help.

It's not a defect. Tire sizes differ with manufacturer.
Take the stock rear SO2 tire on the AP1. It is 225 50 16. Put it next to another tire, different brand, same size. They are nowhere near the same size. The SO2 225 50 16 actually MEASURES 245 45 16. This is why it is recommended you use a 245 45 16 if you run any other tire than stock.
Brand, pressure, size, and wear must match.
But hey what do I know

This is 100% an issue. NO s2k should pull under acceleration. It should go perfectly straight.

I had a couple of mismatched tires on the rear that I posted about in a thread last month. The car pulled to one side under acceleration and pulled to the other side under deceleration. Those tires were the same brand but different models and similar but still different tread patterns. After 14 miles on those tires I realized that wasn't going to work so I got 2 tires that were the same brand and model and that cured it. Lesson learned.

haywood, i could be dying in the desert and i wouldnt want your help. First and foremost, when i say the tire actually had a physical defect. I mean it had a physical defect. Tire kingdom brought out the exact same tire (model/size) and my tire was still f@#king bigger. ps. go home, take a journal and right this down. the only thing here that is beyond help is you man....
