Default Help - car misses at 5500rpm and 7500rpm.

Can anyone analyze my dyno graph to help me find what is causing it to "mis" at about 6k and 7500rpm?

It is track only, tuned on Greddy Emanage Ultimate (if it matters).

I changed the spark plugs for fun and that didn't help, I also added some octane to the gas...no luck there either.

Someone at the dyno thought maybe the coilpacks should be replaced?

Is this a Greddy Emange tune issue maybe? Can I turn the Emange off?

thanks

what kind of mods does the car have?

has the vtec engagement been changed? sounds like a timing issue right when going into vtec.

while on the dyno, was the dyno guy able to show you the a/f ratio you were at when the car starts to hesitate?

alot of factors can be taken into place, but you didnt mention your modifications or what the dyno read...

you can unplug the Greddy and go stock ECU with no issues

Do a run on the dyno, if it still dips then something needs work. If not, then your tune is off

unfort, my greddy is hard wired in due to the harness not being available for my car at the time it was installed.... curses....

can i turn the greddy off with all of those switches on it?

like iDomN8U said, with the stock ecu, you car should react fine with the mods you got, if it was to hesitate, then something might be wrong with mechanically.

i cant read the graph very well, but it looks like you were scratching somewhere around 13 or lower a/f, it might be that its running too rich, i believe you should be somewhere at 13.5 for just running a header and intake.

did you change the vtec crossover and re-tune fuel and ignition?

if you continue to have problems, you might endup having to re-wire back to stock just to be safe.

i have the same problem with my 2007 model. my car is stock with just over 5000 miles. there is very mild hesitation just before going into vtec. car has NO mods (yet)!

however, i helps just a little bit when i turn the A/C off, but the hesitation is still there, but barely noticable!

is this normal?

looking at the dyno graph, i cant help think that my car is doing the same thing, but mind is stock. so i have a bad feeling that something mechanical is wrong! which sucks, considering my car is practically new!

could be timing, could be worse. i will get Honda to check it out and post the results.

What about the sprak plug gap? Try tightenting the gap and see if that helps..

Can you run the obdII timing check? I don't know what the ecu outputs are for your rig, but I wouldn't rule out timing yet. I would run a whole bottle of serious octane boost (or Vpower, etc) blended up. On turbo engines I ran into serious knock even with mild boost running even 93, and still had problems with timing cutback until I started running jugs of octane boost to get a consistent 95 octane FWIW.
