Default HELP a bro out

Hey fellas. I own a 2003 s2k with 90 k miles on it. Car is stock and drove perfectly fine until our of nowhere I started getting a 2-3 grind. HAPPENS ON ALL RPMS above 2k. Only the 2-3 shift. Not 4-3.

I'm assuming synchro is f@#ked.
I located a trans from a 05 ap2. Instead of swapping synchros out.

Questions:

Will a ap2 trans directly fit on my ap1 with no additional parts?
Will I need a yellow box speedo healer to accommodate for the shorter ap2 ratios?

Change tranny fluid and bleed clutch first.

CMC and slave leaking?

To swap, need to change out companion flange.

Bleeding the clutch would have temporarily solved my issue if a leak was the cause.

It would be very odd for syncros to fail out of the blue and all of a sudden, if they go bad they start to warn you well ahead of time. What fluid are you running ?. Have you checked the clutch rod freeplay , you may have too much freeplay in the clutch rod.

Fresh synchromesh. I thought about the rod. But wouldn't I have issues in all gears if that was the case? Also downshifting 4-3 is seamless. Just the 2-3 shift
