help adjusting HIDs
#52
Looking at Billman's picture, it looks like the headlight design is a bit off. You can see that the blue and red overlap in the middle of the lane. It should be to the left edge of the lane. Otherwise the left half of the lane is not lit up.
Has anyone adjusted the headlight setup so the whole lane is lit up correctly? Not just from the middle to the right. Perhaps changing out the bulbs or modifying the headlight housing?
I would prefer to have an even light across the front or a cutoff that at least covers the whole lane I am in. Not just from the middle and to the right. (Note: A correct height adjusted even light across the front would not blind oncoming traffic.)
Edit: Just came across another thread. I'll try out a bulb from a right hand drive S. Someone said the light has a reversed cutoff. Right is lower than the left.

i cant seem to figure out if i am suppose to turn the knob clockwise or counter clockwise to raise the lights. Even if i mark off on a wall and adjust either way i cant see it that it moves. Does the knob need to be turned a few times around in order to see any change?????

Remember though, a small change on a wall close to the car could have a large affect on the light 50 yards in front of the car.

But if you do the switch, you risk blinding oncoming traffic.

none of these really help me.. not meaning that rude to any of you.. I just purchased an 06 s2 and mine almost aim straight down.. They wont reach the top of the rear bumper of my moms cadillac 5 yards in front of me. Whoever owned this before me either wanted to screw me hardcore or maybe the headlights are supposed to be this way.. Will someone please tell me how i can raise my headlights.

oncoming traffic is really none of my concern. besides i get blinded by every other car on the road with their bright ass headlights..not really something i care about..my righty light angled up so i can see more than 8 feet in front of me..
