Default HELP!

i have posted this in electronics also. just wanted to reach more people.. Here is my story. my car was down a few days i finally got it running. i was out driving and wanted to unlock my radio. i had the unlock lock code at the house but i was to far away to drive home for it. i kknow the #'s but couldnt remember the order so i started dialing. i did all 9 or 10 trys you have and then it said "radio EErr3" and would don't change from that screen even when i hit the # keys. so i gave up. i stopped at an autozone and turned the car off and when i got back in the car the radio screen would not light up or even turn on. i hit the power button, number keys, tired holding the 1 and 6 while hitting power to see if that would kick it on. i got nothing. as if the radio was unplugged. well i unbolted the radio and the plug was fine, the wires were fine, the wires were pinned in the plug correctly nothing pulled out. so i pulled the harness of then puled back in. when i pulled the harness back in i heard the cd tray spin so i know the radio has power. i even disconnected the battery for 5 mins to reset it and that was a fail. so i am clueless at this point. the radio has power but does not light up as if it wasnt hooked up. but worked fine prior to my 10 code fails. does any one done this before and could shed some light on this. any info would help. i will contact the dealer to see what they say as well. thanks

well you just locked your radio. i dont think it is a big deal. you shouldn't just guess it and hoped it works because that would still be to easy to steal. its antitheft. there is only so many tries before you can lock it up and you obviously reached that limit. well, nothing left to do but call the dealer.

I advise not posting any information to "how to unlock radio" information as this can lead to thieves stealing the radio and unlocking it.

I believe you have to wait a long while until you will get a chance to try again. Leave it plugged in and wait a day or so.

Like any passworded item or entity, if you make too many unsucessful attempts, you will be permanently locked out. It is most likely in a higher form of protection. If you could just sit there and enter numbers till you finds the right one, the system would be pointless.

Not sure of protocol to unlock at this point. I could ask my dealer...
