Sounds the same. Fortuneatly, I had the fresh case with honda cust svc, and advised the original prescription didn't fix, and they comp'd the air pump also.
It pays to have a good relationship with your tech and service writer : )

I don't believe anybody implied cause and effect. Rather that they were both mysteriously bad, and the codes for ap didn't bubble to the top until TB resolved?
But, I'm no auto technician, that's just what I read from all of this and discussions with my tech.

<chuckle> Came across this thread looking for one on the Optima battery...
About a year ago my car was stuttering/stalling at idle, but ran fine at any other throttle position. Turned out ot be a bad TPS, so I replaced the TB. We're golden.
Shortly after resetting the ECU, though, I get another CEL. I checked on that one with a code reader... P0410, air pump. I ran through the entire debug scenario from the manual, and I never could get the pump to spin on its own... it must be bad. I haven't replaced it yet due to the cost, but it's an upcoming repair, for sure.
I just find it funny that I'm only 1 in a line of identical failures, a failure that seems improbably (TB/TPS, followed by air pump). There has to be something to this...

Add me to the list of TPS failure code, and then a p0410 air pump failure code several months later. I've seen at least 3 other posts detailing people w/ this combination of codes.
I didn't replace the TPS since the car drove just fine. About 10 months later, I failed an emissions test due to the P0410. My air pump plastic housing had melted and jammed, blowing the fuse as well. The dealership said it may have been caused by a failed air pump relay, causing the air pump to stay on longer than needed, which would cause overheating. There was a service bulletin on this issue.
Neither the dealer nor American Honda would good will the repair. They estimated $800 in parts and $300 in labor. I'm still looking for a used air pump and relay if anyone knows where to get one.

Same thing happened to me recently. Honda replaced my TB, then the car was brought out, the CEL came on with the air pump code. Turned out to be loose vacuum lines that the tech did not catch.
