Default Help!

Was driving around my area. All of a sudden I see smoke coming from the car. I pull over and pop the hood. The black piece in the center of the pic had burst open and fluid was spewing out and landing on my block. Any idea on what happened? Is it safe to drive? My temp gauge didn’t change temp at all.

EDIT: replaced the black vacuum cap and added more coolant into the car. Temp gauge is still good but fluctuates up and down 1-2 bars. I’m assuming everything is good but still a little worried.

I just did. Hoping that’ll solve it. Seems like it should considering it was the only place the leak was coming from

Do not drive. You still have air in the system, and could easily overheat.

Follow the coolant air bleed diy. Or to make it even easier, get Lisle funnel (auto parts store, Amazon, etc). Set it up, fill funnel with coolant. Let it get fully warm. Turn on heat, rev a little. Until no more bubbles.
