helm inc s2000 book
hi everyone,
i'm thinking about getting a helm inc. s2000 service manual book. do you guys find this book helpful when doing repairs? that even someone that knows nothing about repairs can pretty much look and read the book and know what to do? thanks in advance everyone!!!!!!!!!!!

If at the very least to just get the proper torque specs... it's very useful. i've used the Haynes manual on previous cars but have gone to Helms exclusively on the last two cars. Best $70 you could spend if you plan to be a DIY'er. Probably overkill for the casual tire changer. Although, you should still search this forum for best practices. I noticed in lowering the car for example, I believe the Helms manual says to remove the lower ball joint when lowering the front suspension. Much easier to remove the two upper A-arm bolts.

those helms manuals are golden. i just sold my integra one and plan to pick up a s2000 one when i purchase it within the next few weeks. once you sell the car, you can always sell the manual for close to what you paid. i think i lost like $10 or $20 on my integra one which i had for 5 yrs.

In theory, yes.
But.....
A book alone doesn't make you a qualified mechanic.
That takes experience / schooling.
And you need the proper tools.
