Default heavy or light clutch - is this a problem?

Hi I've been test driving a few second hand s2000's here in Brisbane

I've noticed the clutches on the ones I've tried fall into two categories, but I am not sure if one category represents problems or is just a variation of normal

Several of the cars have a heavy feeling clutch, which the others have a distinctly light feeling clutch. The heavy clutch was in a 1999 and 2001 model, while the light clutch was in a 2000 and 2001 model.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Default

The heavy clutch may be indicative of a failing clutch disk. My MY00 had this problem, and getting TSB-054 done made it much lighter with better feel.
