Heat from center console

Default Heat from center console

Any one have heat coming from the center console where your cup holders are?? What is causing this and is it normal. I also feel warm temps coming from my right foot/leg seems like the transmision?

To answer your question, yes it's normal. You might want to do a search first cuz it's been covered.

The heat coming from that area is normal. The transmission is right underneath there and there's very little insulation. You'll probably notice the heat more now that summer is here.

Yes it's normal and IMO it's also coming from the exhaust which runs next to the transmissiontunnel through the passengercompartment.

When I do a lot of Vtecing or 200+km/h runs I can actually feel the gearknob getting warm

The exhaust radiates a lot of heat into the transmission and transmission tunnel, you can reallly feel the heat coming out from under the car when you step out of the passenger-side.

In fact the piece of exhaust between the header and cat gets so hot it has burnt the carpet in the top-left of my passenger footwell so the cloth is now all black and brown there.

this is the biggest complaint my gf has about my car... her left leg gets super hot all the time

Not me, I used eDead (like dynamat) in the whole area and it stays cool now
