Why are we thinking that the diff got destroyed if he heard a problem from under the hood?

Was preparing for the worst, it looks like it was just the left rear CV joint went bust.

This was exactly my original problem, had the drive shaft spacers put in but the damage had be done to my cv's, stated in a official Honda service bulletin
