Default Heard Big Thump - car broken down

Hey guys, was driving this afternoon, when I gave it a boot in 1st WOT, when I heard a loud crack sound from under the car, pulled over, while slowing down the car was making a horrible grinding noise, stopped looked underneath couldn't see anything unusual.

Tried to take off in 1st and again this horrible grinding noise from under the car, tried 2nd gear and reverse same thing.

Anyone know what could be the problem? till I take it to get checked out.

Tow truck driver said could be diff related...

That sound was your ring and pinion leaving.
You described it perfectly.

It didn't leave. It's still there. Just no longer in the form it used to be.

Change the oil in the diff every so often.

Don't mod your drivetrain.
