Rubbing compound and a "pot scratcher" (like a thin sponge but very stiff and rough) work just as well as a restoration kit and aren't nearly as abrasive and a lot cheaper. Makes them look brand new and crystal clear. Top it with Plexus and you're good to go.

I've always used Crystal View kits with good results that hold up for years.

Once you get them clear again, you can use 303 Protectant on them to keep them looking good--the 303 blocks the UV rays that make it cloudy.

Just wipe it on with a paper towel and then buff it off with a dry one-- an appication lasts for months.

3M kit worked great for me just don't go crazy with the rubbing compound, do little by little.

After restoration, put 3m plastic on the headlight and it will always look new!

I thought that I saw some You Tube videos a while back that used something like vinegar and baking soda. Has anyone else heard of that as a cheaper method that buying retail kits?

I just used various sandpapers ranging from 600-3500grit and followed it with Helmsman Spar Urethane/Mineral spirits. This will protect it for years instead of doing follow ups every few months.

Here's my daily;
