Well, twice now driver side head light has turned on but instantly shuts off. It has only done it in the passed week. If i turn the lights back off and then on again the light comes right on and stays on. I have turned the lights on and off a million times at my house and they always work, of course the only times it has failed to turn on is at midnight when i need to get home. When the light is on it does not flicker or dim or anything.

Where do i begin trouble shooting something like this? It would be a lot easier to trouble shoot if it just flat out didn't work.

Possibly a headlight relay or a ballast. Switch the passenger side and driver side relay, see if the problem moves. The relay is on the passenger side fuse box, should be proeprly labeled.
