Default Head is leaking... How to clean carbon buildup on valves?

Okay we put my new motor together the other day and tried to do a leak down test. The head is leaking from the exhaust valves on the outside cylinders. What we found was that there is a lot of carbon built up on the valves. My buddy started tapping on the top of the springs/retainer and the head started not leaking as bad.. Was in the green after 3 soft taps, but it was still almost touching the yellow on the meter. We checked it at 45psi. The inner cylinders were perfect and did not leak at all. So i'm thinking about taking the valves out again and cleaning them and the seats. What should i use to clean them though? I heard aerospace cleaner works great, blasting it with glass(i have no access to this), water does(doubt it), gasoline, griding wheel with a copper wire brush insert (scared it might take metal off of the valves), emory clotth, or something you guys reccomend.

I was thinking about getting the head just redone at a local mechine shop, but they want 400 bucks just to clean it out. 2 other places said 250, but it would take 2 weeks. Racekrafters built my last motor and it sat in the same spot for over 6 months... I don't know just let me now what you guys think. thanks

I just had to replace my Valve Stem Guides. I was running around 150PSI in three and 50 in the last. Something to look at i guess..

I was wondering if it is a good idea to use Break-Free to help loosen up the carbon buildup on a set of valves that I just bought for my B18C. I have a bottle of the stuff handy, but I dont have sandpaper or the correct bits for my dremel, so I thought I would try the CLR. So what do you guys think?
