Ok so I have my valve cover off, cams and everything else is off, Now I need to take the head bolts off. I know there is a specific sequence does that mean I have to take them off and put them on in a certain order or just torque them to a certain spec(22ft lbs)? Can they come off in any order?

You can take it off in any order.
Putting it back on requires a specific sequence. most heads I have helped replaces (V8s mostly) usually have you tighten to a lower spec then tighten to the final spec, as well as lubricate the threads and seat of the bolt with a light coat of oil.

Taking them off in any order is not recommended.
Crack all 10 loose slighty. use your own criss crosss pattern. I'd say 1/8 turn.
Go back to the first one, run through the sequence again. When all torque is off, you can spin them out in any order.

Another note, and this is not from direct experience: If you decide to lube up the head-bolts, make sure to use as little as possible. Also make sure there is absolutely NO oil or any other fluid or object in the holes the head bolts go in.
If there is oil in those holes, it will resist the bolt and you'll torque the bolt to spec and not realize it's not all the way in. The result: wasting a brand new head gasket and hours of labor.
