plenty local places, even this site sells it now by the case in the marketplace. Some hardcore bmw guys swear by it, it's all preference IMO. Will be doing some testing on oil pressure differences when running synthetic vs regular soon as I've heard the latest trend is to steer away from synthetics for longer duration track sessions as you can lose some oil pressure, I'll see for myself it there's any truth to that...die hard fender banging spec miata racers...

Same here, but after 22 000kms it is finally decreasing to less than 1 Litre/ 5000kms.

I noticed VTEC wasn't hitting as hard as it used to and the motor was a little louder, so I checked oil level. Lower than low! It kinda got me worried all the times I ran it when the oil level was low. I added some more and now it runs pretty well. VTEC hits like it used to and the motor quieted down. Any of you guys know how much the motor wears out if we ride it with oil in the low range?

My recipe for low oil consumption:

Break in F20C in properly for first 750 miles;
Change oil at 5K miles;
Never give keys to valet;
Never give keys to anyone else;
Switch to synthetic at 7.5K miles;
Fresh oil/filter every ~2500 miles after that;
Redline engine at least 10 times a day;
Never drop over or under high/low marks.

I burn maaayyybbbeee 1/2 qt. between oil changes.

redline engine 10 times a day? why?

btw 7.5k miles is too early for synthetic,10k-15k is better.
