it was a 2.0 but 1500 is cheap considering if you try to stay NA. Gaining about 10 HP is not bad if you remember most of the parts that go in our car loses some power.

I have seen many a posts about all parts from Mugen to Toda to VAFC tuning and some people gain and some don't. The only positive gain is FI. At least that is a guarantee. So if I buy all the Mugen parts and spend 4-5k wouldn't it have been better to just go FI? So if I buy a Comptech CAI, DC ceramic Header, and a Spugen TI exhaust spend less than 2k. I still have money left over for the 4.57's. Is 5hp really worth it. Maybe to you but not to me.

I will agree with you. That is why we can go 13:1 compression and stroke it out to 2.3L. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 280HP++

With all due respects, you are wrong on this one. I love Mugen, and have many Mugen parts on my car. However, Mugen is not about all-out performance in certain areas, especially the exhuast department. Mugen makes an N1 exhaust, and it indeed flies, but the SS exhaust available to the consumers nets you almost nothing. I do admit that it sounds beautiful though.

1500 for 10 hp, not really that cheap
No kidding. The T1R exhaust with test pipe got my friend 10+ whp on a dynojet, on his otherwise stock car. And the GB price on the exhuast was $600 shipped!

Still, an intake is nice to have, even though the difference doesn't seem significant on the dyno.

It is helpful, just that the benefit would not be as great as on an FI'ed car.

Do it!

hey, would you happen to have the dyno graph of the Toda vs mugen comparison that you did ? I like the Toda stuff because I use their products alot for B-series motors but not sure how things work on the S2000, and from what I hear from other S2K owners, they really like their Toda headers.

thanks
