Without an intercooler, I doubt that you'd be able to push more than about 2 psi without detonating. You can figure that the S2000 when turbocharged will net somewhere in the area of about 15 RWHP per pound of boost with an efficient turbo and intercooler. There isn't really any point in discussing what it would or could do without an intercooler since it would be about the dumbest thing you could do to the S.

The blanket statement that a turbo w/o an intercooler is NOTHING is pretty dumb too

Actually it isnt, ask anyone who really knows about turbos or cars (like a mech. eng. which is my profession), and hell just respond about the same way.

The don't bother to respond to and make sure to take their opinion with a grain of salt because they have already demonstrated their ignorance, unwillingness to listen and learn list of people who think they already know everything which is hindering their ability to grow and gain any depth of knowledge, list.

Nice List! Really long name though.

they bust out as self proclaimed experts
I must say that part bothered me a little.

try to keep an open mind, there are a lot of very knowledgeable and educated people on this board affording everybody a great opportunity to learn, if you choose to
I agree

Have a good day and don't get stuck up any rivers without and intercooler
I hope so!
