Has your stock exhaust suddenly gotten much louder?

So, until the new exhaust arrives, I'm riding around with one muffler, and I gotta say, the S2000 sounds a lot better this way.
Glad that they found it for you. How loud is it?

It was loud but not too. It was more boomy than loud. I drove about 80 miles today on the highway before the dealer replaced the muffler, and I didn't mind it that much (top was up).

I do think that the extra noise and the very slight additional vibration transmitted into the cabin might fatigue a driver more quickly. I've often thought that mods that made the car louder were cool, but suspected I'd tire of the noise pretty quickly.

This defect in the stock system convinced me I was right.

Check this out for service: the Honda dealer discovered it at 11am on a Thursday and had a stock exhaust system delivered and installed by 4pm Friday. I'm impressed with AHM's parts distribution system. Imagine getting a stock system for a Boxster.
