yesssss i am the friend

since Omni claims that the brake fluid eats up their seals, i think using aftermarket brake fluid over time is what's causing the MC to go bad. i don't see how a little dirt between the seals and the metal parts of the MC can cause a significant leak

btw i need my MC back when you're finished, or $20.

i see wear on the cylinder walls and the piston itself. basically imagine a really old cylinder wall and piston on an engine.

that's the plan. will you try this one on tomorrow instead of the new one to see if my rebuild helped at all? if you don't want to try it I can try it on my car to see if it made an improvement.

oh you didn't say the walls were scored before. so you think the grime between the piston and the walls there scored them? if so then how would you rebuild it fully? the walls would still be scored and cause leaks

and i cant put this one on. i need my car back asap and i get out of school at 7:30pm. so i'm going to jsut put the new one on and be done with it. sorry, man.

I don't have a clue whether the other fluids led to the leak or not. However I do think the fluid might have something to do with the weird clutch pedal feel I have right now. first time I used the oem fluid and it felt fine. the next two times i bled with valvoline synpower and the pedal feel is not consistant. sometimes it's heavy and sometimes it's light. i don't think mine is leaking though. just feels weird. have to check tomorrow.

I'm going to tear apart both the master cylinder and slave cylinder and give both a thorough cleaning before changing my clutch next week and post my results.
