Is the whole part about using the HDS to do the TB position check and the ECU relearn procedure really necessary? If so, we can't simply do this type of work ourselves unless we have about $10K to spend on an HDS.

Am I the only person paying attention to this? We have to have a Honda dealership do the TB removal/reinstallation if the TB position check and ECU relearn procedure is necessary.

Nobody can give us more info about the HDS throttle body recalibration?

I guess we're probably the first ones out of all MY06 owners who are venturing into modifying our DBW throttle bodies.

the more important question: is there a way to reset the '06/'07 ECU without the HDS?

i don't think our ECU's are as easy to reset as the '05 and unders.

This may have recently been resolved, but I do not believe you can use an aftermarket scan tool on the MY06+ because of the programming language used.

the scan tool has to be able to work with CAN BUS. mine does, Inova 3110. I can scan, read and erase CEL's but i cannot reset the ECU with my scan tool.

So, your scan tool cannot perform the same functions as the HDS.
