Has anyone done a VAFC 2 on '04 install
I hooked up the vafc2 using the diagram on a 04 and apparently the vtec pin is different. I've searched around the board and didn't find anything yet. Has anyone done the install for this. I am soldering and splicing the wires. The difference in hookup are the vtec wire. Not sure if the pressure signal wire is the same as the older years.>?

Sorry, I dont know anything about this but....
Well depending on who's 04 dyno you believe, you might not even need a V-AFC. According to UL's dynos, the fuel-air ratios on the 04's were pretty darn good, and the ECU did not back down timing. In this case, I wonder if a V-AFC will even do anything.
However, in the N. Texas dynos, the fuel-air ratios were as rich as they had been 00-03. In this case, there would definately be some power to be gained by leaning out the fuel mixture.
You might wanna do a baseline dyno w/ a wideband O2 and check to see what kind of air-fuel ratios you are seeing before you invest in a V-AFC.

Hmmm...so looking i my 2000-2004 Helm in section 6-8 I see a VTEC solenoid harness connection to ECM connector B. It says that the VTEC solenoid connects to pin 3 ECM connector B. No difference is made for 2004 or earlier. So if this is the pin you're talking about they appear to be the same. Let us know how the 04 responds to the VAFC!

Hey CrazyPhuD, please post the ecu pin out diagram if you don't mind. The customer had me remove it because he decided that he did not want it anymore. Kind of a bummer since I had already spliced and soldered into his wiring and then he tells me that he doesn't want it. Oh well, so much for that.
