Default Hardtop Question-

I'm moving the OEM hardtop from my '01 to the '03 that I just bought. The '03 has a defrost switch on the dash. I've already moved the side-latches and the hardtop defrost harness to the new car, so it is ready to plug in. Evidently I don't need to install the console defrost switch from the '01, correct?

Here's my question- When I install the hardtop will the car sense this and operate only the defroster on the hardtop, or will it also be heating the defroster on the folded-up softop glass window? Do I have to somehow disconnect the softop defroster when I install the hardtop?

Thanks!

The tops are the same for all years, the catchers are too. Now the wiring is where thing get interesting. Since you are moving it from an earlier year then yours you will need less of the wiring from the old car then he installed. Your car is already wired for a defroster, and Honda left a connector behind your seat to connect the drivers side rear catcher to.
