I have an OEM hard top for my '01 S and the rear catchers are adjusted very well but the front ones are a little worn and my passenger side rattles. My soft top fits perfectly with ZERO rattles at all. For a quick fix, I took some 3/8" vacuum hose and cut off a 1/4" long section or so. I then cut that in 1 spot so it was no longer a ring, it was 1 stripe of rubber. I curled that around the catcher on the windshield frame and latched the hard top latches on it. Boom, no more rattling and the latch is solidly fastened. May not be the best solution or the most permanent. I only use my hardtop during the winter mostly and when I put it on, it is on to stay for quite some time so this has worked quite well. Just a suggestion!
