Hardtop defroster wires?
my car has an oem hardtop but does not have the hardtop defroster wires.
my friend bought a new hardtop and it came with 2 harnesses.
he let me have the one he didnt use, but this one is a "Y" shape.
one said plugs into the harness and the other side plugs into the hardtop for the defroster, what does the 3rd go to?
o yea, my car is an 03.
will the defroster work with just those 2 plugged in?
any help would be appreciated.

harness 3 is the one my friend gave me that i was missing. but it is only a "Y" shape.
i could not find where the 3rd one plugged into. i found where 3 plugs into 4 and where 3 plugs into 2.
the 3rd wire looks like it would be the one closest to the door jamb. but i couldnt find where it plugs into.
and that picture looks like there are two plugs that plug into 4. so im not sure what is going on.
anymore help?
thanks

I have a socket that is behind the panel of the driver side door (beneath the roll hop). I guess this is "4." I also have a wire and socket coming from my HT catcher. Don't know where that goes. Then I have wire/socket labeled "2" on the HT itself.

There is a plug next to the door jamb. It's very tight there, and you won't see it easily. Pull the wire over to the right area and then twist the connectors in that area. You should see the appropriate connector to plug into.
