Hard top install
On the front of the Hardtop where the rubber meets the hardtop there is a piece of clear plastic. Should I remove this piece or leave it on the hardtop. The hard top was installed by the dealership. Did they just forget to remove it?
Nowhere in the instructions does it talk about this plastic piece.

Nope its still on wanted to make sure before I started to mess with it.
So its there to protect the hardtop paint that meets the rubber.
Guess it would prevent the paint from coming off when the car has torsional flex. Over time I could see this eventually rubbing off the paint if this protective piece was not there.
Should this clear plastic piece be replaced at a given interval?
What is the difference between Tape A and Tape B for the hardtop.

yea, there is 2 pieces of tape in the front of the hardtop. one is on the very egde and the other is just below it. i had to replace mine through hardtopguy, its great having someone like him on the forums who pretty much knows every single part that is availible for the s2000 like the back of his hand.

I have had this hardtop for 4 years and only due to this thread have I just discovered this film. It is quite subtle and unless someone points to it (like in this thread), I would have never known it was there. It must be there to help in sealing the top to the windshield (to keep water out).
