Hard Clutch with ACT HD Clutch
Hey guys, I have a 2002 suzuka with 37k miles on it, I had an ACT HD clutch and PP installed 2 yrs ago when i put on the votech s/c. Ever since then my clutch is much stiffer than factory. It's not a huge thing but i've been reading some forums for a while and wanted some advise....
First off I've never changed the clutch or brake fluid since i got the got (which it had 12k miles on it) ..... could this make the clutch feel any easier. It's not a huge issue but when I get in my buddy's 2007 OEM it's just so much easier to drive.
Also I have greased the push rod on the transmission to make it smoother which did help a tad bit.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Or is this just because the PP is that much heavier?! Thanks everyone for your time! James

The clutch will be stiffer than factory as you have a higher rated pressure plate and such. I just had stage 2 competition clutch put in the other day, my pedal doesnt feel to much stiffer, but then again i dont know how higher rated my pressure plate is from factory. Im sure someone on here will know. But im pretty sure thats why.

I have the same setup as you, except with a lightweight flywheel, and it didn't feel that much different to me when I first got it.
However, I drove a stock clutch a little while ago and the difference was huge. I think I was so preoccupied with not stalling the new clutch I never noticed the difference (3k miles of stop/go traffic in the new clutch and haven't stalled once!) and just got used to it.

As for the ACT setup I've heard that's just how they are, a bit heavier than oem. If you're really not happy with it then I'd suggest going back to oem.
