Is it hard to apply window tinting?
Hi,
I was planning on applying tinting to my side and possibly plastic rear windows.
How hard is this to do and can I expect professional results if I use high quality film and take my time?
Has anyone tinted their own windows before?
Thanks in advance.

In MHO, unless you plan on practicing alot beforehand, take it to a professional. A Zeibart local here in Pittsburgh did it for $30 for side windows and $45 for the back window on my former 2000 Dodge Intrepid. It looks like it came tinted from the factory after he was done.

Easy, but VERY VERY tedious unless you have lots of practice. I would find someone who has done it before to help you. And don't apply the regular tint to the plastic window. Use static tint.
It won't be much more expensive to get a place to do it professionally, since you would have to buy and entire roll of tint. I don't have time to explain what tinting entails, so you can PM and I'll get back to you this evening if you'd like.
