handling and vafc
hey guys
i'm still new to my s2000 but i went to the canyons today and was going at it w/ my friends 350z but realized tat my back end feels like its going to break loose....is tat normal and how can i make it stay on the ground or should i not?..sway bar, strut bar, tie bar, need more down force (ie rear wing)?
also is it worth getting a vafc? does it make a difference in power? ne body kno any map settings or should i go get it tunned?
i know tats alot of questions but if you guyz can help me answer them..i'll be very grateful
thanx

For the loose tail, I'd recommend getting a custom alignment (Search for "UK Specs"), and if it still feels loose, you might try a stiffer front sway bar. I doubt you'll be going fast enough to need a rear wing.
For the VAFC... it's not bad for the price (compared to other NA mods for the F20C). Most of the power will be found near redline, though. You'll definitely need to get it tuned at a place that has a wideband O2 sensor.

You might want to take a real good look at your tires. Is the tread getting a bit on the thin side? Are the tires getting old? Old tires and thin tires on this car don't grip well. Maybe check the pressures too?

the VAFC can help your car handle better too. I've been wanting to get one, not for the AFC part to get power, but tor the V part to lower the Vtec engagement 200rpm . you will get more hp at that range, but the great thing is there is no Vtec kick! the kick makes the car feel unbalance on a freeway on ramp. transition is smoother. an i like the lights too.
