hey tnx a lot for the reply guys.
When Si and xviper brought the point that the car will be fighting the engine power trying to lock up the rear wheels, a little light bulb came on top of my head. I was like ohhhhh thats right ...

Mike, I have been actually drifting exactly the way to described it, the only thing is its not that easy to keep a steady drift throughout the whole corner with s2k. Its maybe becuz of my driving skillz, or it has somethin gto do with my syspension setup too. I dont have adjustable suspension,
I used nespeed springs to lower the car, but they are a bit soft, since at hard cornering I start rubbing my tires to my fenders. I actually have another theread about my suspension setup and how to improve it without going adjustable coilovers. I was wondering, if a hard or a soft rear suspension would be better for drifting.

PS: Ill try to use the handbrake with the clutch in or whiel the car is in neutral see if it has enuff power to lock em at all..

hard suspension for rear, makes less flex so more slip ^^

Drifting is extreme "steering with throttle" and it bascially can only be done on RWD. That's why all drift cars are RWD. The parking brake is a poor solution for FWD and AWD cars that can't drift with the throttle.

you can use the handbrake to initiate a drift in a RWD car as well. according to tsuchiya, its a very basic and elementary way to start a drift. watch the drift bible. he shows you how to do it as a beginner to expert.

I think this thread is going a bit off topic now. Since it started as a question to do with whether or not his ebrake was working properly and how to fix or adjust it, this has been addressed adequately.
It's now become a discussion about drifting and using the ebrake to do it. If interested, someone can start a new thread about this although I believe one already exists in the archives.
