Had a little accident, what could be bent?
Hey guys I had a mishap a couple days ago and smacked a mountain with my back right rear wheel and bumper going roughly 30-40mph. I was in the process of countersteering but the mountain came first. The bumper was caved in and the wheel is toed out. My friend took a look at the damage and he suspected it might be a bent lower control arm.
When the suspension compresses a bit on left turns the inner rim hits the lca, but on right turns it doesn't.
I'll try to take pictures soon, but any idea what else could be bent? I'm pretty worried it may be something hidden. What else could cause the rim to hit the lca on left turns?

Where the control arm meets the frame, there are only spot welds holding it there. This is the weakest spot on an s2000. Take the tire off and follow both control arms back to the frame and make sure that everything there is intact.
If the weld has popped loose, you'll want to get it fixed very soon. All you have to do is get it to a body shop so they can put it on the frame adjuster and weld it back together. My car is used for autocross a lot, so I had all of the welds redone to where it's a seem weld instead of spot welds and now I don't even have to worry about it.
Hope this helps! Good luck.

Was that at the dealer or body shop? I plan on taking it to a body shop to check what is wrong, since I know dealer will rape me cost wise. But will a body shop be able to diagnose all the problems as well as a dealer?

I had mine done at a body shop. The body shop gets wrecked cars in all the time and has to fix all the problems with it to get it going again. I am willing to say that they will do about the same thing to fix it. I would expect the body shop to have more experience though.

So it turns out the rear subframe is a little tweaked, but the lca seems to be fine and not bent. I'm taking it to an alignment shop soon to find out for sure what is causing the toe.
