Default Guide: Hidden garage door opener

People have allways had hideous garage door openers attached to the visor of their cars, but they are ugly, and can leave unpleasant, permanent marks on them. So I'm here to save your car from being ashamed by the ugliness of the visor mounted garage door opener. Also people can break into your house by slashing your top and clicking the opener, now we want them to work a little, by at least hiding it in a hard to find location dont we? I'd rate the diffuculty of this at about 1/10.

Step 1: Locate your garage door opener, its probably on the visor, if you cant find it. (It also may be in the center console.)
(see how ugly it is up there?

Step 2: Remove the opener and bring it to the lower part of your dash

Step 3: Place your finger in the springey thing on the back to expand it. Just a little bit will do.

Step 4: Clip it on and your done!

Range isn't affected that much by this, but I'm sure it depends on the brand of opener you have. Enjoy your stealth opener mod!

I did this as well and added a couple of silicone pads to the opened. This 'helps' keep it in place.......

It doesn't have to be particularly well hidden, it just needs to be somewhere where the scumbags won't look first. They're looking for a quick and easy score, everything you can do to slow them down is to your advantage.

or, you could wire it up to your highbeams, roof button (if you have a removed softtop), or audio buttons (if you have a different deck)
