Has anyone used one of these before? This Gtech Pro Competition seems to do everything in one--dyno charts, 1/4 mile times, handling g's, and much more. Is this something I can rely on to tune my car, meaning, is it as precise and accurate as they claim? For $250, I think it's a good buy to have an unlimited number of runs on the dyno and chart your modding progress.
New Noise-Correction algorithms have improved overall accuracy as well. With all of these valuable features we are very proud to announce that the accuracy is now within 5/100 second. With the consistency at 5/1000 of a second! Absolute Horsepower and Torque measurements are within 3% and consistency within .5%! - their site

I have one . Works very well for obtaining baseline runs ,then comparing runs after mods.... dyno features pretty cool too. Use is mostly for accel (0-30 0-60 etc) and quarter mile times also good for braking test. As far as providing data from lapping sessions not useful at all. Accuracy is pretty close from what I can tell. It shows me 5.8 sec 0-60 14.209 quarter @96.56 5700 rpm launch. Mycar is stock .Never dynoed my S so I'm not sure on dyno #s. Gtech says 173 hp @ 8000rpm 116 ft lbs @ 7663rpm these are supposed to be at the wheel.... #s seems a little low. Might have something to do with the calculation method used by Gtech. You have to enter vehicle weight in so that the unit can make the calculations. In the owners manual for gtech it says to use vehicle GVWR that is what I used . My thought is you would want to use the actual true weight of the vehicle with driver at the time of the test I am not sure how this will change the results if at all. I would test this theory but I am trying to avoid 6k launches.
