Grinding noise on startup even after replacing starter...

Those temps it shouldnt be making startup noise. For me its not noisy unless its like 40 degrees or less, and even then its only intermittent. Below like 30 its much more consistent.

So could it be something unrelated to the starter? I'd like to think I'm overthinking it and I should just condemn the starter but i cant think of anything else that may cause it.

edit - I found out the cause! It was not starter grind, it was actually my engine mounts. They were split and completely torn to shit. Replaced em with Megan Engine mounts and the car starts up with no ugly noise!

Wonder if this has to do with the viscosity of the engine oil being very thick, during cold mornings? Maybe, going to 0W-30 may help?

Theyre great man! Minimal vibration. I wasn't going for extreme track stuff and this is a great replacement for OEM mounts
