Grinding noise - low revs - 1st and 2nd gear
Hi,
Recent convertee to the s2000 family. My car is an AP1 2001 with 43k on the clock. I have a slight issue whereby at low revs only and in 1st or 2nd gear I get an intermittent griding noise. The noise sounds pretty much like a grinding brake caliper but I am pretty sure it is coming from the engine or gearbox.
I have noticed similar threads have mentioned throwout bearings, is this a common fault for a car this age ?
How much would it cost to get it fixed ?
Thanks,
Andy

I've also noticed this noise in my AP1 2007 with 30k miles. I took it into the Honda Service people and took it out with a mechanic for a test drive. He said there was no irregular noise even though it sounds pretty nasty with the grinding noise and all so still no answer as to what it could be. Same thing as you point out, low rpms
