Alright guys, my mechanic said it was the rear end? Is that the diff? Whatever it is, where would be a good place to buy one? Don't have anywhere local I can get one at. Located in VA if that helps

the "rear end" is too general, ask the mechanic and find out exactly what is causing the problem and start from there. If it is the rear diff, I wouldnt hesitate to pick one up from S2kpuddydad

Says I'm not allowed to view members profiles or message them? Maybe I don't have enough post yet. Going to my shop in the morning to see exactly what's wrong. I'm pretty sure he said it was the differential but I'll make sure. Is there anything different between the ap1 and ap2 diffs? Also, if you could give me a price plus shipping if you have one

2 weeks need to pass after your registration so you pm ppl.
Alternatively you can become a member if you don't want to wait.

Hope this helps

Both AP1 and AP2 diffs use the same 4.10 gear ratio. I think the AP2 had some minor changes to it (don't know the specifics) that made it slightly more robust. If you do "upgrade" to an AP2 diff, you'll need to adapt the flange to fit with the AP1 (no idea how difficult this is).

Also yes, huge +1 to getting a new diff from Puddy. Especially if you're wanting to launch the car or drive on backroads/tracks often, you should consider upgrading to a Puddy diff that can actually handle the pressure. Nothing is bulletproof, but if you let him know what you're after I'm sure he can point you in the right direction

Edit: Fixed something I was wrong about.
