S2000 has an oil cooler/heat exchanger deal. It's right where the oil filter attaches. Exchanges heat between the coolant and oil.

Yeah, but that isn't necessarily the best solution, Reverend.

You should identify that you need a cooler before you get one, there IS an optimal operating temp for the oil.

Do you know what temps you are running?

Doesn't it have an oil cooler? There's a coolant hose that runs right to the base of the filter mounting on the engine.

No, the heat from the oil gets put into the coolant and then cooled in the radiator.

Doesn't that cool the oil?

Yes, it does cool the oil, and it is and oil cooler. It isn't teribbly efficient but does help heat the oil quicker on startup. Keep in mind that the coolant is going to be around 190 degrees, so it won't remove heat from the oil terribly efficiently, but will guarantee the oil stays at temp in cooler weather (or help it, at least).

You still need to identify that for your particular application you need an oil cooler. It is more than likely not necessary except for extended track driving in hot weather.

I'm wondering, will all that Mugen/Spoon thermo equipment work, or will it be better to get a add-on oil cooler that mounts in front of the radiator?

Are those two even related?

Whatever happened to the GB on that high capacity radiator from Spearco. Not a bad solution.
