Sounds good to me as long as the "fuel pressure regulator" and pump can maintain the required level at the injectors. However even if the pressure is maintained a bigger hole means a lower exiting force, still probably not enough to affect combustion.

I reckon the to rich senario is on the button in this case!

Glad you know what you're doing Aus (even if I don't which is why I'm just a driver ). My eManage ratio is 0.66 too and now I understand why, from what you say about the eManage piggyback fooling the stock ECU.

Maybe I don't understand enough about the emanage, but screwing with the MAP sensor signal that much really kills the load calculations in obd-2. It can cause the car to run in open loop much longer than it does, stock. This is bad because the ECU will correct back to stoichiometric under closed loop conditions.

It's better to use the injector duty cycle corrections to do injector sizing changes, and then fine tune using MAP sensor signal changes, rather than the opposite, because the load calculations won't get nearly as screwed up and you won't have to worry about the ecu applying long term fuel trims to your open loop operation.

If you look at the way the E-manage is wired into the loom you realise that the injector map can only be used to lengthen the injector cycle. This is because it is a 'tap' connection rather than a 'splice'. The only way to remove fuel is to reduce the MAP signal.

oh, hm, sorry about that, like I said, I'm not real familiar with the Emanage. That sucks.

I used the Mugen as it has a fixed map - no feedback. Could not achieve a viable running car with standard ecu as this compensates too much in closed loop. Also, E-Manage couldn't handle timing. Spoke to Trust in USA who stated it won't work with CTR or S2000 as both use new coil on plug. Used the Vortech timing box and managed to reprogramme timing through this (you can get software for this from the suppliers site) and fuel through E-Manage. It took 3 months of trial and error and tuning to get this right.
Good luck - I now have a Prodrive Imprezza P1 which is being re-programmed and tuned. Comes as standard at 280hp and will be 350 with minor tuning.
Have fun

do you have the site for the software for the vortech timing box?
how much adjustment can you do with this box?

Thx maca

The E-manage will do timing on the S2000. It was just a bit of a hidden feature.

I thought so
AusS2000, are you happy with the emanage in term of what it does for a FI car? Is it worth while paying more for motec or AEM?

I'd say if you have the money go Motec. But we are talking at least $4K including tuning if I'm not mistaken. The E-manage is a great improvement over the V-AFC but not in the same league as the standalones.
