Fellas,
I know that arsie (Roger Cole) bought MACA's (Cameron) S2000 (they are in The UK). Cameron and his tuner developed some maps for the S2000 using the E-Manage and Vortech SC. He was able to develop 330 RWHP running on safe, rich A/F ratio!
Cameron told me that he gave the maps to arsie when he sold him the S2000. I PM'ed arsie yesterday, and also several months back, asking for some help with that information; either from the MAPS on CD or by simply taking the information right off of his E-Manage unit. I have an E-Manage and Profec e-01 controller as well as injector harness waiting to be installed. Hopefully he will reply soon. If he does, I will be happy to share the information.

I think we need a Forum for "ECU Electronics" to cover discussions of everything from the VAFC to AEM ECU.
It would be a fairly specialised Forum but those that are interested would have plenty to say.

Setting library should contain the .gsc maps right? I have 2 I can put up if someone needs them. Both are for turbo s2k's, but I doubt they would be perfect for anyones car. They are nice for a base map though.

John has had the info for a month now, including an Import taken off the live system; but I haven't heard how it goes - did the earth move for you or not, John?
Anyone else is more than welcome. It was a learning curve for me as an armchair petrolhead. The status of the maps I have from Maca is not clear; however, as always the live system cannot lie, which is what I gave in the end to John.
BTW I assume by 'maps' that the .GSC file (only about 5k in size) will contain everything needed & is purely data. You can say a lot in 40,000 bits of data setting.
I will be returning to Maca's tuner in a few weeks to cut a load to pass the UK emission tests. At present the 5% CO (versus 0.3%), 400ppm HC (versus 200) and lamda 1.0 (versus 0.8) is way over the pass standard (in parentheses). At that time I can chat and pick up a lot more.
I am hopeful we can do a setup that will detune enough without having to refit the catalytic converter - any thoughts guys?
Rog
edit: the main dial settings are 4-8-A in my case, not 4-8-C

I know now that Cameron fitted the Mugen ECU (he probly told me as much) and I know he fitted the Toda camshaft (I have the OEM one for sale!!)

Just to back up what Brian said. When tuning the Supercharger with the Greddy the guys had a lot of problems with the standard ECU as it uses variable fuel and timing maps which meant it was hard to tune. When we went to the Mugen it was better as this uses fixed timing and fueling maps which are optimised to run leaner. This meant that there was a fixed point to work up from and the tune then was able to focus upon adding fuel and pushing back timing in the right places.
Additionally cooling becomes critical with forced indiction and the guys at Tuning Japanese used laser thermogauges on induction and all key air entry points to look for high variations. With all the cooling mods plus extra insulation on the heat exchanger the variation was down to less than 3 degrees centrigrade on power runs.
There are a number of key rpm points where timing and fueling maps change - these are around 4500, 6000 (VTEC), 7500 and 8500. Don't ask me why but these were the areas where most of the work focused on at the end of the tuning with various power on/off loads.
This is an excellent engine and it needs to be looked after. The guys at TODA have taken this apart compeletely and they were impressed - and they build race engines!
Enjoy it and look after it!

After installing the MAPS that arsie sent me, my car is not running well at all. Just about ready to yank the EManage + 440cc injectors and go back to VAFC and stock injectors
