If the Greddy Emanage wasn't a capable device for running FI. Greddy would have a ton of problems on their hands. Since almost everyone of their turbo kits now can be ordered with the Emanage as a tuned option.

thanks good input. fperra wrote about aem and e manage as they relate to state inspections where apparantly they use an obd scanner.

Do they do that in your state? they don't here.

From what i seeing, either one works, aem lets you change and monitor more parameters, is that right? What are the basic differences in capability from a user standpoint.

I have about $2000 in my aem and injectors, maybe a little less. With injectors etc what does a greddy cost?

On a stock vortech kit setup does e manage give you better a/f mgmt at all rpms and throttle positions over what comes with it?

thanks

This analogy isnt correct. It varies based on application. If the end user is not going come close to needing all the functions (and complications) of the AEM EMS, then obviously the e-Manage is a far better choice in the end.

I have just purchased the eManage to tune my Vortech. I did this after talking to quite a few people (both on this site and off), who made me confident that the Greddy unit was more than capable of tuning FI applications, and was certainly more robust than a VAFC. I understand that the AEM is a "better" choice, but I just don't have the $1500+ to spend on that option right now.

I really hope the tuner I am considering is not going to tell me that he can't tune my car with the eManage. That would not be good.

The original question posed was can an e manage add hp and torque on an na/a motor?
does it?

On an FI motor
Both can maintain a good a/f in the 12's...Is that right?
Between e manage and aem the basic differences are
e manage works better than a vafc but you don't have as many parameters of adjustment in the e manage as in the aem.
