Greddy E-Manage
#11
I find tuners can be extremely opinionated. And compared to an AEM ECU the E-manage does look a bit like a hack, but compred to a V-AFC it is a god send. Depends on your perspective and budget.
I have an E-manage on a Comptech SC'd (8lbs) S2000 with bigger injectors and SARD FPR. The E-manage allows me to drive the injectors to provide enough fuel for the extra boost without drastically raising fuel pressure (like the Comptech and Vortech kits do). I can also pull some timing with boost to avoid detonation.
I do have some problems with the higher boost and the stock ECU pulling timing too much in hot weather but that is to be expected without and intercooler and easily fixed.
So I'm pretty impressed with the E-manage but if I were to go any further I would move to the AEM.

Hey I'm just passing along what he said. He's a very successful builder and tuner. He just didn't think it was the right choice for an s2000 and he was pretty adamant about it. All i can tell you is his work is first class, nothing breaks and people wait weeks for some of his shop or tuning time. I trust his opinion.
Jason isn't my tuner either.
I asked him for someone else on this forum. That's all I can tell you other than everything he's ever done for me works perfectly...and has for a long time now. I wasn't slamming anyone just passing it along. If it works for you great.

really gemby? i wonder how many people with FI are using emanage and happy with it. I don't know that much about them other than what I was told. I ended up going aem with 550 high impedance injectors and never looked at e manage. Like I said I was kind of suprised. Maybe he felt there were better choices. He's pretty picky about how he does things and he makes a pretty good living at what he does. With all the expensive iron around this town you don't last long if you don't know what your talking about and he's been around a long time.
Anyway lets let the poor guy have his thread back maybe he can get some better input

I hope he posts in here then. I've followed some of his other posts...he's pretty knowledgable.

I am getting either the Greddy or the AEM piece. The shop that installed the smaller pulley advised that was the next piece to get instead of the VAFC since they can adjust the timing. I am searching now for which one I want. Here is the dyno run from today.
