Greaaat. Start noise?

OP, I don't know if using oil is a good idea, it will help for a bit, but then the dust from the clutch will stick to it creating a weird goo.
Maybe cleaning, and then some graphite? Just stabbing at theories here.

Don't mean to jack the topic, but 'bad' starter engagement, i.e. no crank, or poor crank speed, could be because of a bad engine-to-frame ground connection. I think there's one right by the starter, it's a thick multi-strand wire, from engine to frame. There may be another one on the passenger side, I don't remember. If they're loose, you'll have trouble starting.

You want grease. Everything in the clutch system uses grease with no ill effects.

Well, Im getting the OEM clutch installed soooo I can go ahead and do all this
